With over two decades of dedicated private practice, David specializes in precision restorative dentistry, crown and bridge reconstruction, endodontic therapy, and gentle oral surgery.
Principal Dentist & Paediatric SpecialistDr. Karen Cosgrove graduated with honours alongside David from UCC in 2004. Known for her exceptionally calm, compassionate demeanor, Karen has a profound interest in paediatric dentistry and treating anxious patients, ensuring visits are positive and stress-free.
Registered Senior Dental HygienistMartina qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2001 and brings over two decades of expert periodontal knowledge to Portlaoise Dental. She specializes in ultrasonic scaling, needle-free Oraqix pain management, and personalized oral hygiene coaching.
Our practice coordinators, patient liaisons, and surgery nurses ensure every appointment runs on time with utmost comfort and compassion.
Team Member since 2013Collette is often the first welcoming voice you hear and friendly face you see on Church Street. She coordinates patient bookings, answers fee inquiries, and manages instant PRSI eligibility verifications.
Fully Qualified DSA (since 2020)Originally from New Ross, Co. Wexford, Christina is a fully qualified dental surgery assistant. She works chairside with our dental surgeons ensuring flawless clinical sterilization and patient comfort.
Joined January 2023Leah joined our clinical team in January 2023 and is completing her dental nursing qualifications, bringing warm enthusiasm and attentive care to every surgery session.
Fully Qualified Dental Nurse (since 2018)Anna has been an integral member of the Portlaoise Dental team since 2018. She is highly experienced in chairside assisting, infection control protocols, and helping anxious patients feel relaxed.
